Never hit ball
Highlight the "Sounds" selection at the options screen, then press (Square), [Circle], (Square), [Circle], (Start). Hold (L2) and press [Triangle] when selecting a pitch speed and the batter will not be able to hit the pitch.
Debug options
Highlight the "Credits" selection at the options screen, then press (Square), [Circle], (Square), [Circle], (Start). A menu with hidden options will appear.
Weak hit
Highlight the "Sounds" selection at the options screen, then press (Square), [Circle], (Square), [Circle], (Start). Hold (L1) and press [Triangle] when selecting a pitch speed and the batter will hit the ball very softly.
Automatically hit ball
Highlight the "Dual Shock" selection at the options screen, then press (L1), (R1), (L1), (R1), (Start). Pause game play and turn on the "Autohit" option. You can now set where the ball will land when hit.
Error

Select exhibition mode. Highlight the "DH Rule" selection at the options screen, then press (Square), [Circle], (Square), [Circle]. The All-Star teams will now be unlocked at the team selection screen.
